The Inevitable

Oh, look at me

How rich, handsome, and buff I am

Being the person everyone loves to see

Especially with my rock-hard abs, damn!

Damn, I am one fine specimen!

When I die probably not until another century

I will be honored as one of the best men

Ever! Of all time! Everyone will remember me!

Are you so sure about that?

Salutations, my name is Grim

I just came here to see you, to have a chat

The Weight Of Time

We walk through life

knowing the ground will open for us one day.

Not in fear—

but in recognition.

The body learns to slow,

the hands forget small things,

names slip away like mist.

We pretend it’s just another season.

A heartbeat feels permanent

until it pauses,

and the silence becomes

the final word.

We are not built to last,

but to burn briefly—

bright enough

to leave shadows on others.

Cheeks

We enter this world naked and scared

from a mother who just laid everything to bare

From her own body she grew you for 40 weeks

And she’s never seen anything sweeter than those cheeks

First those cheeks are covered in vernix goo

So you’re wiped down and swaddled like a kangaroo

Your mouth searching for your first taste of life

Mothers milk comes easy for you, but for her it takes strife

Death Becomes Us!

When it’s born it begins to die,

Everything on earth and beyond the sky,

From endless deserts dry, to bottomless oceans devoid of light,

We’re only here for a moment of time,

A blink of an eye in the grand design,

We’re burnt out candles waiting to shine but,

There’s too many people living life with no spine,

Simulacrum’s walking around just dead ringers,

Polaroids developed without any pictures,

...

Yes, and whatever comes after.

People built of flesh and fear,

lies that wound and make us rot.

Times we cherish and hold dear,

then it’s over. And what did it cost?

You were beautiful, and innocent,

a baby, a child.

Now you’re wrinkled, and worn,

and old, and wild.

You were loved, and hated,

and killed, and born.

You fled, you bled,

you cried, you soared.

People built of skin and pride,

truths that never make you better.

Brief

Knowing how short this life be,

should give us all perspective.

So we can see,

be more protective.

Of what,

we.

Are and,

have this shot.

At being truly free,

we are just grains of,

Tiny sand in this eternal hourglass.

Do We All Die?

So this is my life now

Just waiting to see what wash ashore

How many pages have i tore

To find the words im looking for

Leave it to hope if theres any to find

Scribble a little figure on the blue lines

Exlpore the foundation of your mind

Let the time guide you

Find yourself in a lost temple

Or a corporate office

But dont forget whats in the back of your mind

And when it finally feels like time,...

You Only Live Once

You only live once

So don’t miss your chance

Feel all the feelings

And try all the things

Don’t get caught up with others

You are perfect

Just the way you are...

Anew

When someone is born into the world,

A joyous occasion is gently unfurled.

For the family now blessed with more,

And the kind souls who open the doors.

As children grow and take their flight,

Family is there, a steady light.

They lend a hand when struggles appear,

And comfort when sadness draws near.

But as they age, they soon must see,

That leaving the nest is part of the plea.

The homes they’v...

We Only Live Once

We only live once

Why spoil the chance

Be who you are

Seek opportunities

Make a new friend
