Lost

You’re lost

Lost in the fog that’s blinding you

Stuck

Stuck in between the shouts

Stuck in between the fighting

Frozen

You can’t move

You’re in a game you don’t want to play

This game is not a fun game

Yet somehow you’ve ended up in all the chaos

And yet again

You can’t move

You’re a piece in their game

Being boxed in by the shouts

Somehow your either caught up in the middle of it

Or your talk...

What Is Fog?🖤

Sunshine is brightening

Rain is calming

Clouds are sleepy

Wind is startling

Thunder is fear

Lightning is shock

Sun showers are hope

And rainbows are beauty

But what is fog?

Is fog sadness?

The kind that

Covers the horizon

Making it feel like

There’s nothing left?

Is fog anxiety?

Fogging everything,

Spreading rapidly,

And hiding every inch

Of daylight,

Eventually leaving everyone

In a panic?

My Light To My Fog

I was lost in the fog

It was covering my eyesight

Waiting for the light

Then

You

You walked through

Strait to me

Hugging me tight

Right in the fog

Waiting for it to clear

So you can lead me to safety

And make the day clear

Just for me

You are the light to my fog

When I am in it

Sad and dark

You make it light again

I can find my way through

Right back to you

The fog can be beautiful

I am ...

Memories

I hate it

And I love it.

It hurts

And I need it.

I went back to Spotify after using other music for a while.

I scrolled through my playlists and added my old favorites to a collection of heartbreak,

Looking for the most depressing shit I could find.

I wanted the melodies, the lyrics, the rhythms to drag my heart through nails,

Not this.

Not memories.

Because now I’m shaking and crying because_ I ...

90 Days

“We’ll have rain soon” said the old man rocking on the storefront porch.

The farmer in torn clothing and covered in dirt leaving the store shook his head in dismay. There hadn’t been enough rain for crops in a year and a half. The Dust Bowl as the papers called it had been in full swing. Hardly worth planting and definitely not worth staying, but with no money and nowhere to go the farmer bided ...

Misunderstood

Air that breathes

that laughs,

that speaks.

It dances and plays

along the streets.

A silent song,

a quiet hum—

It spreads,

expands,

to and from.

Fog is often misunderstood.

It’s not a creature lurking in the wood.

It smiles at you

with a misty grin—

a blur of breathing air,

frolicking in the wind.

Dancing With The Rain

There once was a girl with crimson eyes and haunting black hair.

She was owned by the night, danced in the stars twilight.

Her smile was calming, her demeanor chillingly pure.

But no one knew her, no one but the moon’s waning eyes.

For she had become an outcast from her once perfectly crafted life.

She stayed in the dark where none could see her, hid from all things familiar.

That’s why she...

Light Of The Lake house

Fog surrounded the lone building, making it hard to see the lake. The fog created a peacefulness only she or someone like her would see. A tear slid down her cheek, sparkling from the light of the lake house. She nodded, not knowing why, and slipped back into the lake house....

A Song on the Wind

Fall has always been my favorite season. The chill in the air is just enough to keep me awake as I gazed in wonder at the changing leaves. I walked slowly through shades of red and orange, taking the time to enjoy a quiet Saturday.

After I picked up my pumpkin spice coffee, I found a window seat. I watched the world pass by through that window, smiling at the tiny glimpse of each person’s life f...

Stepping Through

She always felt like an outsider,

Like she didn’t belong.

They told her they didn’t like her,

That her existence was wrong.

Another unwanted child,

Another person to dislike.

She lived in endless darkness,

She wished for warm light.

She would whimper as each blow rained down.

Her delicate skin a mixture

Of blues, purples and reds,

On top of her beautiful olive skin.

She would painfully crawl

Un...
