Snow In July

In the blaze of July, where the heat swirls high

Clouds whisper secrets, the sun starts to cry

A paradox blooms, petals kissed by frost

In this dance of confusion, reality’s lost

Crystal castles rise in a world turned upside down

Footprints in snow, while the grass wears a crown

Laughter echoes, the children rejoice

In a city of ice, hear the sun’s silent voice

Snowflakes falling, where the w...

snowy summer day

life is suffering

and then, suddenly, it’s not

oh, a brief respite

from the heat of the summer

this moment that will not last

death is a just peace

and, somehow, I am fearful

oh, what irony,

that the cold of the winter

would haunt our brightest moments...

In eptitude

In the darkness of night

Thoughts become mtaphors

Ideas passing, rain fell

A solar ring descended from hell

We will never love as much as we used to

Because we will love now

that’s all that counts...

It Always Rains

Author note: I know its not a poem but it felt like such a good idea nontheless!

August 22nd, 2087

I wake up to the sound of rain hitting my window. again.

It's quiet today. One of those nicer days where you can get things done. Maybe go out and have some fun. Maybe.

I don't remember a single day where I didn't wake up to that exact same sound. At first it was soothing, the rain helped me sl...

Summer Rain

All you want is vodka

and my rotting body

under the summer sun.

A taste for remembrance,

a list of things

we do but never

get done.

I pull on your hands

like I’m dying,

find God in the dark

of your mouth.

We both have a talk

with Him quietly,

but neither recall

what about.

You wonder if heaven

was really bleeding,

or just a sick kind of blue.

I wonder if we’ll ever want

like Eve did first, pain...

Weather Not Quite Right

It was strange seeing snow

For a summer day, I expected rain to flow

Or the sun to shine

I wondered if something wasn’t quite fine

Up in the heavens above

Did Persephone leave Demeter too early

Or did the Christian god choose to remind us of purity

What god was responsible, if any was

Did the ice particles science talks about not melt despite what summer demands

Did we sleep in for a month or t...

The Late Snow

Keat looked outside and was surprised to see snowflakes flying in the air outside. “Dad,” he called, “it’s snowing.”

Sounds emanated from the bedroom as he heard feet hit the floorboards and walk lightly across to their window to gaze out. “Fuck!” He heard, muffled through the door of the bedroom just before his father and mother burst through the doors only semi dressed and carrying all of the ...

Unseasoned Love

Alternative Title: A Winter's Farewell in Summer's Arms

The winter sun shone warm and bright,

A golden dream in frozen light.

And there we stood, our hands entwined,

As love defied the fates unkind.

The frost had melted from the ground,

Yet in your eyes, my world was found.

No season’s shift, no time’s embrace,

Could steal the warmth of love’s sweet grace.

Yet summer came with b...

Its Not The Same

Scraps of the past begin to fade

Am I or the world the one to change?

The old days I was excited for

Don’t seem to be the same anymore

Warm projections of the sun

Coat my skin with your love

But those sunny days grown cold

Is that the cost of growing old?

Snowy mounds become a raceway

Screaming a laughter echoed all day

Now the mounds don’t seem to show

All thats left is a forest dead and cold

Warm day in winter

The warm day in winter

The calm in the storm

The small Thread of hope

onto which we may hold

The sun shining bright

Guiding our way

Out of our horrid day

Seems unusual

For a winters day

to feel so warm

Without a storm

A warm day in winter

A thing to look out for

A needle in a haystack

Blink and you’ll miss it

A warm day in winter

Sweet and rare

Casted upon us

By those high and fair

The one...
