POEM STARTER

Submitted by Robin Marlowe

Write a poem about unseasonable weather. e.g. A warm day in the winter, or snow in the summer.

Candy Painted Sky

Rain you never know when to stop.

I'm as angry as you are right now.

You're lightning shouts don't scare me.

In all white, I melt taking in this poor- now wrinkly dress.

****

A day meant for delight turned to disaster.

As night falls, I look for the stars.

Hoping for a sign- this wasn't all for nothing.

Rain, what will you tell me about this tantrum?

Unexpected- the exuberant sunrays

chain into a beautiful but murky sight up above.

Forming into a graceful cotton candy sky.

Here is when I realized treasure was nearby.

My eyes glisten, adorning the embellished infinity.
