Write a poem that has a whimsical mood.

Paradigms and Prayers

Delightfully oblivious

Never ever been envious

Of anyone or anything

Who also has a song to sing

A dream to dream

As she walks by the stream

Reminiscing of good times

Yet to come, shifted paradigms

Brand new horizons to seize

Unyielding hope to appease

On a rainy November afternoon

Manifesting sunshine like it’s June

A breath of the freshest air

The answer to my only prayer...

Summer

Rainboots and puddles

Rain drowing all out

Sunlight and shadows

Stories read aloud

Checkered boards and rocking chairs

Pieces moving around

Apple pie baking

The smell wafting about

Lemonade and iced tea

Glasses shimmering brightly

Warm dirt and tire swings

The radio blaring loudly

The perfect day of summer

The memory won’t ever fade away

And these warm days to s...

Dream Land

In a place where stardust sparkles bright

Evearything is perfect in broad daylight

The clock unwinds, and time stands still

In a world of wonder, we chase a thrill

Cotten Candy clouds, and skies so blue

Where every hidden wish is waiting for you

A melody floats on a gentle breeze

Lifting our hearts like the tallest trees

Stars are the secrets that we will unveil

The Unknown

The trees seemed to gallop

Across the face of the wind

Moved mimsily with the invisible tide.

The groves with their vines

Swayed ever lightly

With the force of the cool morning.

Many a weary traveler advance

Through the misty woods

But none lay eye on the deep brooding secrets.

Many a tired troubadour proceed

And none stop to see the sinister and forbidding unknown.

Yet it is there

Carnaval

Feathers towering over the residents’ heads

Hips swaying, defined, to the music of boom boom tĆ”-ka cha

My eyes swirling along with the frenzy of hues

The rhythm seeping through my nerves

It ignited a natural movement

Of light and dance within my soul

The energy flowed through my body

Like sparks activating the melody

Thumping into my footwork

Gliding my arms horizontal

just friends and i’m happy with that

without your name constantly weighing

on my heart,

stealing pieces of my mind,

it’s easier to breath,

without your hands wrapped around my chest,

Whimsical Whirl

A dandelion dream took flight at noon,

On a breeze that giggled with a silver spoon.

The clouds wore hats and sipped on tea,

While squirrels debated philosophy.

A clock in the meadow ticked in rhyme,

Counting not seconds but jellybean time.

A duck in boots played mandolin tunes,

To owls that danced with helium balloons.

The flowers all hummed in polka-dot tones,

And mushrooms juggled skipping st...

The sky was pinkle when I woke,

A shade of laughter, half a joke.

The clouds turned sorn, a moody hue,

Like whispers drenched in morning dew.

I dress in plasmic, soft and shy,

A color caught between a sigh.

My shoes were tied with strings of frave,

The color brave, that I crave.

The streets were wet, a glistening feel,

Like promises too sharp, too real.

I stepped through puddles, blur and glant...

Writing Prompt: May 25 - "Write a poem that has a whimsical mood."

[I really dislike this one... I like the imagery I had in my head with each situation, but I feel like I sucked at getting it to come across in a poem format. The important thing is that it's written. Writing something I dislike is better than not writing anything at all!]

Poem #1: Love Letters from a Paper Moon

You sent a kiss in a thimble shell

Wrapped in the scent of caramel,

It flew on wings of dragon sighs

And tangled stars in velvet skies.

You whispered words in bubble ink,

They popped before I dared to blink—

Yet somehow, still, they warmed my cheek

And made my shadow blush all week.

You gifted me a cloud bouquet

With petals made of cabernet,

And tied it w...
