POEM STARTER
Write a poem that has a whimsical mood.
The word whimsical is defined as being playfully fanciful, especially in an appealing way. What kind of language would you use to portray this?
Confessions to Cupid
Cupid, oh, Cupid.
You've struck me again.
Give me one good reason why I should
actually listen to your advice?
With glitter in my eyes, the twinkle
Blinds me of what's real and what's an illusion.
Cupids doing.
I beg you to remove me from this confusion.
Im falling apart, Cupid.
No fair to include me into your mischief.
Your wings ought to be retired by now,
Considering how wrong you are on each gamble.
Here's a lesson to you, Cupid
A crash course, if you will.
Put me with someone fun someone frisky,
And daring, but not with me just for the thrill.
I've let you get away with false matches too
Many times to count.
But not again, not ever, not now.
Please Cupid, I beg you to match me with myself.
