POEM STARTER
Submitted by Robin Marlowe
Write a poem about unseasonable weather. e.g. A warm day in the winter, or snow in the summer.
Snow In July
In the blaze of July, where the heat swirls high
Clouds whisper secrets, the sun starts to cry
A paradox blooms, petals kissed by frost
In this dance of confusion, reality’s lost
Crystal castles rise in a world turned upside down
Footprints in snow, while the grass wears a crown
Laughter echoes, the children rejoice
In a city of ice, hear the sun’s silent voice
Snowflakes falling, where the wildflowers bloom
Summer’s embrace, wrapped in a delicate gloom
Chasing shadows, the sun loses its fight
Frosted dreams awaken in the heat of the night
Time bends and sways, a surreal parade
Nature’s canvas, painted in a shimmering shade
Whispers of winter, in the warmth of July
A fleeting escape, as the seasons comply
So let’s roam this wonder, in this strange masquerade
Where summer’s bright heartbeat, meets the chill of fade
In the heart of the blaze, where the frozen winds sigh
We’ll catch snowflakes and laugh, in the mits of July
