Void

Silence

Speaks

Volumes

Silence can ring in your ear

Like a scream

That was near

You dream

Of being here

But you scream

In the sheer

Void....

The Dreadful Silence

The dreadful silence The wind is blowing.

Holding a book in hand.

The leave’s whirling from the wind.

Alone..

A silence in the air.

a silence that is making me go mad.

Plaid skirt getting dirty from sitting on the soil.

I’m alone.

It’s a bittersweet feeling.

I have no one.

Not one person.

But I messed this up not them.

I can only rely on my self now.

So there’s that ...

She was 12.

She didn’t see the car.

She didn’t notice the red blurry about to hit her.

She didn’t notice the speed the person hit her at.

She didn’t notice she was in the hospital.

She didn’t notice she was going to die.

She didn’t notice she had died.

In the hospital, with me holding her hand.

She didn’t notice the dreadful silence as she flatlined.

I saw the car.

The Dreadful Silence

it’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop, not to mention the creak in the floor when you walk.

it’s too quiet to even talk. the dreadful silence so loud all i can hear are my own thoughts.

the dreadful silence comes without a knock, never leaves — & certainly doesn’t watch the clock.

i wish i could make them all stop.

imagine giving a voice to each one of your thoughts —

anne’s always angry...

July

It’s the start of July

And I’ve come to see

You inevitably lied…

You said you’d return

before the sun reached the moon

On a field of green ferns…

Yet out in the horizon of mist

I find nothing of you

That shows you still exist…...

Killing Me

There’s always that

Dreadful silence

That comes when

You say how

You truly feel for someone.

The pause…

The wait…

The anticipation…

Killing me.

What do they feel

About me?

Is it the same

As my feelings

For them?

The awkward silence…

The overbearing dread…

The painful tension…

Killing me.

They open their mouth

To speak,

My patience has

Reached its peak…

But then they

Hesitate…

And ...

Nothing Was Behind Me. Still, I Bled. #4

Even the ash went still

Even it listened

Like it didn't know

Little did I know,

It always knew

It just wouldn't tell ...

The Dreadful Silence

Years ago we promised one another our hearts,

Through the years, it is clear, that we’ve drifted apart.

Instead of hugs and kisses, I’m greeted with contempt,

You bark your orders at me, all will to try is spent.

I listen to your words but respond with dreadful silence,

Absence of affection leaving wounds deeper than violence.

Every now and then I see a glimmer of the past,

It gives me hope that ...

The Dreadful Silence

The dreadful silence

With your friends

With your family

You fear it

Not wanting it

To arrive

Sometimes its needed

To grow relationships

To see what you must

The dreadful silence

Is not wanted

But, maybe, is needed...

My Smile Hides My Heart

My smile hides my heart

My laughter masks the pain

My curious, loving manner

Exists only in my brain

No one sees me cry

No one sees me scream

I never ask the question ā€œwhy?—do they see what they see?ā€

But in my head is caos

Voices that won’t turn off

In my eyes are tears

Waiting on my checks to roll off

I always check on others

No one checks on me

I continuosy remind others, things...
