Jeans

I’ll compare the world to a worn pair of jeans

That have been loved and used

Holes along the seams

Sewn with colorful thread.

The worn tired jeans

That have faded over the seasons.

Grown tired,

So tired of everyday wear.

Along the seam there are sewn quilt squares

Patches of joy and love

And sure it doesn’t fix them,

But it does make them look a whole lot better.

Seasons

Falling leaves

Broken Branches

Screaming matches

Watch what happens

Who knows

Held hands

Love stands

seasons

in the darkest of days, the night will wane,

and green will shoot from icy snow,

lying in wait under a wintery scene,

spring has gathered deep below.

emitting fragrance upon the breeze

calling forth laborious pollinators,

whose work soon turns to summer seed

mixed and muddled with sunnier days,

Changing Seasons

Every couple of months, when the wind slows down to a slight breeze, the seasons change, they change into something new. Some people wish to be like a season, open to change. But some, some have trouble experiencing any type of change. If it was autumn every day of the year, we would eventually get bored and wish for warmer or colder weather. Although autumn can be a pleasant transition from summe...

Spring Cleaning.

Fall is a colorful time,

Winter fills my heart with grime,

Then it’s spring cleaning.

The sun exists only with summer laughter,

Because my heart feels so cold and grey after,

Then it’s spring cleaning.

Autumn makes me feel like orange glitter,

Yet the later chill makes me bitter,

Then it’s finally spring cleaning.

Summer flies by like a heated breeze,

Chill air arrives quick with such unease...

And Then She Was Autumn

She came upon a winters day, the air was brisk and cold much like her personality. She was closed off, inattentive and foggy - she caught me off guard with her breathtaking porcelain complexion and rosy cheeks.

By spring she’e began to warm up to me, sprouting blossoms of interest - casual conversations that added a hopeful new beginning in which we’d spend our time muddling through the day. Ne...

Making Flowers

People say that life is short

12 months

52 weeks

365 days

That’s a year

But a year of what?

You can live but not be living

You can fly but still touch the ground

You can scream but not make any sound

So this year, is it really a year?

If I’m sitting on the ground

Crying like the rain as I walk away from you

But then again

Who are you?

I don’t know

So why am I crying?

I don’t know you

I don’t lo...

Seasons Change ďżź

Whispers of spring breathe life anew,

Buds unfurling, a vibrant hue.

Cherry blossoms dance, a soft pink cascade,

Nature's canvas, in floral hues arrayed.

A symphony of scents fills the air, so sweet,

As winter's slumber retreats in defeat.

—————

Beneath the sun's golden, gleaming gaze,

Fields of gold sway in a heatwave's haze.

Children's laughter mingles with ocean tides,

In the lush abundance, li...

Demeter

Spring was the beginning when she saw her again-

Summer was the peace she fought to regain-

Fall was the fear knowing what be-

Winter was her death when Persephone’s with me....

Festivity In The Seasons

On the days nearing May Eve,

Marigolds were strewn on window ledges.

Rowan branches placed above doors,

And byre spread on houses edges.

Milk was left out for the fairies

As an offering of sorts,

So they wouldn’t steal their children

Or mess with them for sport.

And on the peak of the spring,

Whilst the fairies reveled ‘round,

You could almost hear their music,

As an otherworldly sound.
