Jeans
I’ll compare the world to a worn pair of jeans That have been loved and used Holes along the seams Sewn with colorful thread.
The worn tired jeans That have faded over the seasons. Grown tired, So tired of everyday wear.
Along the seam there are sewn quilt squares Patches of joy and love And sure it doesn’t fix them, But it does make them look a whole lot better.
Lemons can taste sweet if you add enough sugar. Find the love, be the love Be the red in my tattered old jeans.
