Writings

All that glitters is not gold

All that glitters is not gold

Nothing is as it seems

All that glitters is not gold

For silver has a glint

All that glitters is not gold

Because sad can seem happy

All that glitters is not gold

Because I say its not...

Of Sea And Gold And Blood

Smooth and shimmering,

Sea and sun shining to blind

Far more blinding, the glow of gold

Oh to lose the eyes of heart

Blind to greed, blind to want, blind to worry

To see with smell of salt and red of sun behind blind eyes

To taste what riches bless those hands

Soft glint of blood, a drop of life

Far out weights the weight of wealth

What light to guide, what path those feet would trod

Light of sun ...

Water Makes Things Shine

Even if it glitters, is it really glory

Not all with a cover is a worthwhile story

Glittering like midday,

Under the moons ray

Life will reveals its true plight

For everything must look good to be right

Everybody applauds as the orchestra begin

Does anyone acknowledge the hours put in,

But all is hidden to make people look just

Yet the truth lies the below the crust,

Whether you have judged fo...

Swaying Round Eachother

All that glitters is not gold,

Nor silver, nor bronze,

The tall barrelled ceiling adorned in

Scintillating crystal,

One graced in pure cut stones,

Dragging along the floor crassly

With its weight pulled by a thousand temples,

Each string of treasure frolicking

Round the other,

Sardonic little men

Flaunting upon this misfortune excuse

Of a robe,

And as do the silken waterfalls

Hung at his wai...

Not Gold

‘All that glitters is not gold.’

I never really understood it,

and if I were to be so bold,

I don’t think I ever will.

I’ve seen the stars glitter,

just the same as cartoon gold.

The sun and moon were kidders,

‘jokes on you, we’re not the prettiest.’

I’ve seen more glitter than just gold.

Just like the stars, other things do too.

But maybe I’ll sit here in the cold,

and tell you that maybe tears...

Truths

All that glitters is not gold,

Not all that is true is what you behold.

Sometimes what you see in the skies

Is nothing but lies.

Truth is not always what you’re told,

Honesty is a hard virtue to hold.

Watch as all you once knew

Flies away into skies of cloudless blue.

What you once believed

Is not how you really perceived.

Now you know that you were wrong,

Your truths were lies all along.

Lost Boy

All that glitters is not gold

With the shimmering in my mind

The desire in my blood

With what once felt like freedom

Now feels like a prison I can’t escape from

It’s been years since I’ve seen the Dust in the palms of my hands

But I still feel the jump of flying the moment I close my eyes

It’s an addiction I’ll never grow out of

A life I’ll never get ba...

If I cry gold will that pay off my debt?

All that glitters is not gold.

You don't know what happens behind closed doors.

Family photos full of smiling faces.

Faces that look down at you with disappointment.

Shattered glass.

Yelling.

What's wrong with you?!

_What's wrong with me?_

I don't know how to decipher my own emotions.

Am I angry? Am I hurt?

_Will I ever be happy?_ __

All That Glitters Is Not Gold

In youth, I yearned for grown-up days,

For freedom's call and adult ways.

Then 18 came, and I was grown.

So I set forth, to make the world my own.

I wish I had known those were the golden years,

When worries were scarce, and there was nothing to fear.

The world was a canvas waiting to be painted,

My heart was innocent, pure, and not tainted.

But the rush of time brought truth to light,

With eve...
