Dark

It’s been five years since I have seen the moon…

Five years of _never ending_ sun

But… the sun now felt so cold and dark

I used to love the sun

Praising it for its beauty

Bathing myself in its rays

Feeling my skin melt and burn

My eyes not able to look away

I am numb to this now

I yearn for the dark

The moon

The moon…

Maybe one day…

I can bath myself in the cool, welcoming rays of the moon

...

I Am The Moon

I am the moon in a starless sky

Waning and fading into the night

The inky vastness clouding my mind

Until I, too, disappear....

Where Are You, Moon?

Oh, to bathe in a beautiful glow,

One that is not the blinding sun,

The moon I wish to once again know,

But it seems its time with me is done.

I can’t recall when I’ve last seen the rock,

Grinning down from the dark, galactic heights,

For, instead, the sun chose me to stalk,

It looks like a blessing at first sights.

The time of light endlessly ticks on by,

Like an hourglass with unending sand,...

Its been to long….

Its been to long

Simce I have been happy

To long since the stars shone up above

And blessed smiles to my face

I sit under the scorching sun

Buring my skin

My ego and grin

I can’t stand it anymore

I long for the world to pause

And for night to come

Its been too long

Since I have been calm

Too long since the moon beamed down at me

And hugged me tight through the night

I sit under the blinding ...

The Never-Ending Smile

It's been five years since you have seen the moon

Five years of never-ending sun

You have to stop soon

This game of light isn't fun

Burning through the coldest hours

Looking at me with a big smile

The box of your trapped feelings towers

Why can't you be sad or mad for a while?

I'd do anything to see you frown

I can't believe you can keep up the game

They are scared of you, this town

And I'm the ...

Desolate

Endless daze, dust and heat bake every inch of my skin. Plants wither, eroded and dried, rain a forgotten hymn.

The tides retreat, desolate shores, no encounter to be seen. My circadian rhythm shattered, sleep, a distant, fading dream.

The sun, a tyrant, blazing bold, scorches the world in endless day, no trace of darkness, no respite, no shadows left to play....

RIP SUMMER

I will miss your 9:00 p.m. sunsets

And reciting sonnets to the moon.

She’s such a lover girl

With a soft spot for Shakespeare.

She is like me,

A coal mine canary singing for men to let me die

In the noxious fumes of their helium-inflated egos.

My flock migrated south for winter

Five summers ago

And left their nuclear shadows branded into the sky

After being consumed by the sun’s feverish beam.

The Lights Stay On

It’s been five years

Since you have seen the moon,

Five years of never ending sun

It’s bright all day

The nights don’t happen,

Never breaking the pounding light

At first it was a gift

And now it is a curse

Just need a break from the endless hope

The days all merge to one,

A year is but a second,

As if time has never passed

Only remaining in one small minutes

A brief, single second

That will n...

The Moon

I was used to the light, but still it felt blinding.

Most times, I close my eyes and try to remember what it was like when darkness covered the sky and only the faint light of the moon showed.

But it began to get harder to remember the way the darkness rattled my bones sending a shiver through my whole body and the way the softness of the moon light touched my face. The moon shined its light, bu...

when will it end ?

It’s been five years since you’ve seen the moon , five years of never ending sun .

My thoughts secretly resting on a trigger of a gun just for a bit of fun .

The pause before the cause of death ,

now don’t be silly just take a breath !

Unable to sort through the pain , don’t you think it’s insane ?...
