I think I got it backwards
things aren’t as they seem
I might be a little be crazy
but maybe we really are on the same team
maybe you care just as much as I do
maybe you care a little bit more
maybe one day, I’ll tell it all to you
or maybe I’ll just keep this secret lore
whatever happens, I need to understand
I might have all of it wrong
things probably won’t go as planned
and I shouldn’t wait ...

The Dryad
Waking in a world where everything seems backwards is perplexing,
The feelings of loss and confusion collecting
In a world where disillusion is flexing.
And we’re all neglecting the world erecting.
I question how we got here
But it’s never been very clear.
Perhaps it’s our rejection of self reflection
Or our greed that we feed.
It’s time to look at the world we bleed,
Reach out to those in nee...

I tried to stand upright, right-side-up, forwards
In a downward, muddled, spiraling, upside-down, backwards world.
I entangled lie with truth, truth with lie,
Head over heels, heels over chest,
Heart over head, matter over mind.
Thrust into a Babel land of Babylonian babblings.
Backwards.
Which way around was I?
If I walk on my elbows and speak with my knees,
Sigh with my fingers, and wink with m...

Everything was backwards
The world itself has started orbiting in an opposite direction
The people who smiled
Now frowning
The scars on my wrist
Rearranged spelling out help
The tears on my face going back into my eyes
The people who said they would stay
Gone
The world was backwards
Nothing was as it was before
But maybe it was fo...

How far can do we have to go?
I passed 20 miles back that way.
You’re taunting me again.
How can I look for a fresh start with you breathing down my neck?
I gave myself an ultimatum.
This was the last I would ever be able to breathe around you.
But you smell like oxygen.
And I smell like smoke.
Unfortunately oxygen only ignites the fire.
It hurts me to go back.
I think I’ll turn around to the...

There’s something about being called a problem
That makes me want to be maniacal
A menace you could say…
It’s just so funny because even though everything in me is pushing me in that direction…
I was not wired that way.
Too nice for my own good.
Always taken for granted.
What have you ever done for me?
Except leave.
And show me you’re shameless.
I have a lot to give,
And I know you know that.

Coconutblob
Inbetween the red I see
Yellow daisies disagree
Up and down
blooming our doom
Burning and briused
gilded castle walls
I see the silver lining
plates so blue.
Drowning in the seas of needles and knives
waves sharp as daggers
I know so well,
bleeding out in front of my eyes
backwards ones
don’t dare to see the
purple stars in her eyes.
But the purple
Is all I can stare at and wonder
coldbreezes
Reflected in thine eyes I see no trace
Just a slip of the tongue; a cut may graze
Thou wast my friend, an early summer grace
Leaving only blistering winter’s haze
And although thine words weren’t spit with spite
I knew thou would leave me in haste, at last
And the strings that grip me shan’t only blight
The ache digs deeper, and a knife is cast
A last spring breeze, I desperately cling
Thou is l...

I don’t wear makeup, no lipstick for me. Why should I put makeup on this old wrinkled face.In the morning, I look in the bathroom mirror backwards....
Humour
Gabs
My head is bigger, bolder, new
My skin is cold and black and blue
The ice is freezing in my hands
Before you get angry count from 10
I didn't want to grab or push
To turn your teeth back into mush
Of course you ended up just fine
My days off the campus, only 9
My words were sharp like little spears
The kids will remember my name for years
The "quiet kid" as is my fate
I'm sorry for the ground yo...
