Pretty Molly Bay

Elizabeth Kempher

1 min read

Water surged over my feet as I gradually walked towards the water, pulling me in desperately as if a moth to a flame.

Rocks scattered both sides of the bay to create a opening to swim under.

Someone was here earlier, a deserted beach with 2 tiny but cute sand castles.

Tide slowly being swept in as the evening sun drew near.

As if the water and wind brought prosperity, the sand and sun brought a ...

Open For Interpretation

How far can do we have to go?

I passed 20 miles back that way.

You’re taunting me again.

How can I look for a fresh start with you breathing down my neck?

I gave myself an ultimatum.

This was the last I would ever be able to breathe around you.

But you smell like oxygen.

And I smell like smoke.

Unfortunately oxygen only ignites the fire.

It hurts me to go back.

I think I’ll turn around to the...

Say Goodbye

I often wonder if you know me to be something of your imagination. You’re allowed to feel things and express them without fear. I’m just realizing I don’t get the same pleasures. The good times are seldom in between fights and arguments. Your bravado no longer has a hold on me. I think it’s a good idea to ask the question, why are we together? We have been in a long tango of right and wrong for ye...

Instant Appeasement

Elizabeth Kempher

1 min read

If victory had a taste it would be similar to ecstasy.

If I had to describe it I would say it’s like an orgasm, instant gratification.

Maybe a bit like sweets melting in your mouth.

A delicacy.

Thats what I could describe it as

I couldn’t imagine victory could be as relishing as this.

I have a hunger for this

I conquered him, a long time awaiting

10 years and I couldn’t win.

Triumph? Oh it’...

You hate him? I hate you.

You hate him and now you hate me too?

Why would you make me choose between you and my husband?

Why would you make me HATE you

I should not have to choose.

You made me choose between having you as a friend and having my husband as a partner.

That’s not fair. You aided in my downfall

That’s unforgivable.

I’m broken!

I’ve loved you since we were babies

Since we had dir...

He Doesn’t Know Me

Elizabeth Kempher

1 min read

Fearful and agitated

I’m pacing, my minds racing

How can I face him anymore?

A God fearing man

But is there other forces at hand

What shall I do when the ball drops?

A master manipulator that’s me

I fell in love, I thought I changed

Programming my mind to envision progress

I’m still pacing because a secrets about to come out

Will he still love me even in the drought?

Can he love the truth?

I...

Newcomers

In a normal society it would be fascinating to see how many newcomers would adapt. It would be even more fascinating to have laws and rules to abide by, unfortunately the world as we knew it is gone. In 10 months the new American government has incapacitated nearly half of the worlds population in an attempt to change and transform our beliefs and behaviors, it did not work out. They have demonstr...
