The Fog

It was dark.

It was quiet.

I was leading my soldiers through the fog. We were ever so slowly making our way toward the enemy. We had split up earlier and were planning on ambushing them from the north and the south, but we lost contact with our teammates.

The fog was too thick.

We slowly trekked through the forest, past some tall standing trees and others that had fallen to time, weather, or...

Not shy in the sense that Philly is shy. She is terrified of saying th...

The Unsent Message

“The Message You Never Sent”

It started with a message he never received.

Lizi was sitting in the back of a taxi, rain beating down against the windows, phone clutched in her hand like a lifeline. Her thumb hovered over the screen.

‘I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it that way. Can we talk? Please don’t leave.’

She hit send.

A green bubble.

Red Fruit, Red Blood

A summer breeze racks over the sunny beaches of Southern California. Sun shines on every acre of stretched out the sand covered beach, burning the frolicking children who forgot to reapply sunscreen.

But, in the center of the pier, a 19-year old girl stands, copper brown hair blowing fiercely to the wind. Her hands are decorated with silver rings and bracelets, barely big enough to grip the wood....
