Too much peace

Is a term I never hear

Not in this dumpster fire

Not in our Fuckery of a country

Is there really peace

When We are bombing other countries

And deportation is of more importance

Than poverty and starvation

There is no peace

When people are still hurting

When there is still war

And when books are burning

How can there be peace

When things crumble down

When love is a crime

And harm is more common than not

Is there really peace

When Alkatraz is threatened to open

When Food becomes so expensive

Or when no one can afford basic care

Is there really peace

When people still argue over religion

Still fight over the past

And shame for their skin

Do you really want peace

If you are part of the problem

When you want to kill people

When you want to fight

There is no peace in a world

Where we hate one another

for things we dont choose

And get framed

For things we didnt do

Is there really peace

When people don’t feel safe

And people hurt themselves everyday

Just trying to get away

Too much peace is nonexistent

In a world

Where it is quite the opposite
