A Place I Know Well
Darkness is a place I know well,
My vessel reduced to a shell,
Kept in a pretty little cell,
Pretty as always for you.
I call this place my own,
Something of a home,
Alas, my humble abode,
Is covered in bars, though I don’t have a clue.
This cute mask is a lie,
Covering my cries.
I remeber when I used to fly,
But now these chains hold me down, my feet stuck like glue.
The void is all too familiar,
Yet I put on my necklace of silver,
And slim down my figure,
All for you, my love.
