Before you start reading this. I would like to give a shout out to 🌖🧚🪻Oddity✨🐜🥀for suggesting I write a poem on this topic. If you haven’t followed her go do that, she is amazing and litteraly such a talented poet.
I know to you
I seem like the default
A happy
Straight
Girl
But you don’t know what goes on in my head
What takes up so much space in my heart
What I spend countless hours pondering
And How it makes me feel
You don’t know
I’m queer
cause i hide it
from you
But I’ll give you
The beifit of the doubt
Because I
Didn’t always know either
I knew
I was different
I always knew that
It was a matter of fact
But for the longest while
I was in a deep
Painful denial
Can’t you see this
In your own child
Is it a compulsion
Is it a reflex
Is is a mechanism to cope
All I see is a man and a woman
A girl and a boy
No one like me
Don’t you see?
Men are gross
But that is normal right?
Girls are pretty
But its admiration
Not attraction right?
The truth us
I don’t know who I am
And it hurts
That something so seemingly small
Takes up so much space in my heart
