“Am I quiet? Or do you just never try to listen?”
Write a short story which includes a character asking this question.
Am I quiet?
Or do you never listen?
Are my words soft?
Or do you speak over them?
I’m so used to being silenced,
I enjoy listening to other more.
They’re life is more interesting than mine,
More important.
I dont talk,
Because there was a time when my ideas were not enough.
Old habits die hard I guess.
This is crazy because I was having a conversation with my friend and she was talking all about her life, then she asked how was I doing and I literally had no idea what to even say because it’s not that my life isnt interesting, just people asking about whats going on in my life is so strange to me. Sorry for the long ahh paragraph lol but oldest daughter syndrome ig! Anyway, great write as always, I could really relate to this one :)
