POEM STARTER
Inspired by Maranda Quinn
Write a poem centred around the theme of destruction.
Crumbling Walls
They say crumbling walls should be replaced
as the sky screams with terror, sparks falling down it's cheeks
Holding together was the job only the ivy could hold
If only could the angel that built it come back to meet my hand
Climbing the skies little by little until even the sky falls again
And with it, I tumble back to be met by empty air
They say crumbling walls should be replaced, rebuilt for a newer time
The history and the past only kept in memories and burning papers
Even then, would you take my hand to take me back to the time it was built?
So it would have at least one thank you for holding our weight
So maybe that, even in some form, the gods would watch
As the crumbling walls fall, and with it I slip back into the horizon
** Hey guys I got really lost in this topic and I feel like I could do better, can anyone give me tips to improve and how to make this feel like it's all together rather than scattered??
