Write a poem about a scream.
Where is the scream coming from? How long have they been screaming? Will it ever end?

My throat has bled for eight straight Januarys,
Starting out as a cry,
Asking God why I must now know the pain of letting someone go,
Only to come to the bitter realization that they were never meant to be mine.
When he said forever,
My heart danced with the bars of my ribcage
And found freedom in his sentiment
But was still a prisoner,
Ignoring the shackles for a ring that melted in the kerosen...

The scream isn't out here, shattering the pane,
It's bottled up deep, where the venom and pain
Have fermented for months, a vintage so rich.
It started the moment he flipped the love switch.
Itās coming from the cellar, the one in my chest,
Where all of his promises went to the rest.
Itās been building, a pressure, a high-pitched, slow rise,
The soundtrack to watching his love turn to lies.

Screaming
I sat and watched.
We talked.
Though she mainly just yelled,
Stabbed her and said hush or Iād tell.
Crying
She begged and begged,
But soon enough sheād be dead.
Perfect killing
Lifeless she layed,
She truly did pay.
And eye for an eye,
What about a life for a life?...

my body shakes with anguish
face screwed in agony
mouth painfully agape
as the silent scream
echos in my head
while the walls repeat nothing.

It never ends,
And the whole world can hear it,
In fact, its ears are bleeding,
It rings out,
High pitched, trembling,
The throat hasnāt gave out,
Its resolve stands strong.
It never quits,
Not even with the sturdiest tape,
Not from force from any being
Not from hands,
Not from scolding lips
So carelessly busy,
They miss the screamās reasoning.
Itāll never end,
Until someone listens....

Only when I moved way up here,
By the lake,
Did I begin to learn about the old wives tales up here.
Back home we didnāt have to worry about the supernatural going bump in the night.
All we worried about were
The real-life monsters.
Which is scarier?
Only the kind of scream will tell....

Screaming, screaming
Thatās all my parents do!
Mom? Pop? Please lower your tone
Because, right now, Iām on the phone!
My father is deaf in his left ear
So we have to scream,so he can hear
Sometimes I can hear them scream
From up the block
Iām surprised my neighbors havenāt
called a cop! š®** **...

A scrappy draft about trying for someone and covering yourself.
I watch the ink from my pen
I love it
How it covers the mistakes
With short, little blotches
Words disappear
Like they werenāt ever there
Theyāre not here
I enjoy masking my mistakes
Like how I pretend to know enjoyment
Like the mask never breaks
While this soul of mine aches
And feels self inflicted torment.
Can we stop making mi...

A sickening shriek struck the air,
The knife twisting in her gut.
Not fair, not fair, not fair.
It never stops,
The roaring tide,
Drowning her in rage,
In fear of herself.
She hated poems sometimes,
And the light they brought,
Because she just wanted to be ugly.
Her pain was not a rose,
Blooming drops of crimson,
It was just blood.
Her tears werenāt dewdrops,
Speckling the landsca...

A silent scream.
The deadliest of them all.
You can never hear someone elseās.
You can always hear your own.
Loud.
Demanding.
Forever going.
The silent scream goes on in my head.
It never stops.
And i believe it never will.
Itās a cry for help,
But no one will ever hear.
It stays in your throat.
It stays in your head.
Neve can you let it go.
If you never let it ou...
