Rooted and grounded in his love

This love, is definitely from above!

Immeasurable, as far as the east from the west

He will love me forever, always the best

His love is deeper than any trees roots

Deeper than any river

Fuller than a quiver

My roots dig deep down

By him I want to be found

Having his salvation

Is my foundation

This love from above

Forever rooted and grounded in his divine love...

I remember when we first met

You were striking a ball over the tennis net

You glanced towards me

I smiled back at you,with such glee

After you’d finished playing

I noticed the net fraying

I walked close by

Pretending I hadn’t noticed, I

looked up at the sky

Eventually we met for real

We were in McDonalds

choosing a meal deal

We got together, engaged, married

And your babies I carried

You died ...

It was a night just like any other. Me and my best friend going out on the town. Painting the town red, living it up, blowing our wages on frivolous things we didn’t really need. Then out for the night in something we’d bought new that very day. Blown their parents clean away

Spent their money

Living it up

Till they were caught

Menedez brothers

Shook them up

When they got locked up

Jail, doors shut tightly

In case the monsters come

Door shut tightly,

might the monsters come!...

I’ll be so glad when my daughter goes

Feel drained and not at peace

She shouts, she’s bossy,

Overreacts, makes out I’m a victim

Never leaves me alone

I don’t like to moan

But when she goes

I’ll be so relieved

I’ll then find out

Is there such a thing as too much peace ?...
