Kidnapped Part 13

Freddy Ricky

1 min read

It’s almost boring.

The waiting, that is. Same black bag, same restraints, same musky room. The same song and dance, over and over.

It doesn’t get old though, the culmination of all the silence. The look on his captors faces when they tear off the bag to find the smirk underneath. The terror of realizing his restraints are now loose on the floor. The satisfying crunch of bones under his fist. ...

This Really Happened…

Freddy Ricky

2 min read

It was raining. The kind that hangs over a day and drowns it in mist, leaving everyone who dares interact sluggish. On a college campus, everyone trudges, everyone gets coated in drowsy affect, everyone longs to on the couch doing nothing.

Unlucky for me, I had a class. A lab, to be exact, some form of chemistry. And it should be mentioned, though free of judgement, that I was running late. Now,...

A distance shore

How I wish they’d leave me be

But here I sit

Pondering still

Reaching for permit

The Revelation shall flame

On the backs of dames

In the quiet of the night

Doused in shame

It shall arrive in quiet

Once open dont shut

A secret so precious

Lies you must trust

Should the king beware

Or the priest adhere

Should the people scatter far

Should question clear

Then upon that day

No hesitation, no play

Rise up and wait

Rise up and pray

For the world still turns

But anger churns

Time

“Time is up,” the voice echoed, mechanical.

“It is recommended you run.”

People flooded out of the building and into the streets. Some tripped and were trampled. Some hid trembling in alcoves as desperation thundered past. All while the voice repeated over every loud speaker, through every TV, echoing in every car.

“Time is up. It is recommended you run.”

Thousands poured into the streets....

Die Death Fish

Hey

Today i saw fish.

A lot of fish. Colorful, bright, boring. One fish two fish red fish sad fish or whatever. Went to an aquarium, pretty cool if i do say so myself.

But

There was one fish. Black. Deep dark black. Big eyes with lots of white and an iris so small you couldn’t dot it with a pen. Two long fangs stuck up from its jaw, curved and thin like toothpicks. The worst part? It kept sta...

High Above the City

The wind whips cold

Traffic fades muted

Standing at the threshold

High above the city

The roof whispers lonely

World spins loud

Strangers far below me

High above the city

The edge calls delirious

Pavement tempts freedom

Longing to forget us

High above the city...

Star Fall

Freddy Ricky

1 min read

She whispered one night

Have you witnessed stars fall?

Have you laid in a dark field

Your weight dragging you down

Down

Down

to meet the earth?

The dewy grass tickling your face?

Or felt the inflated firmness of a paddle board

As you drift on a mindless lake

under a blanket of tiny stars?

A gentle breeze

Your toes freeze

Your eyes scan the skies

Hoping for a streak of light

Breaking into peacef...
