“Once the flowers bloom, we’ll be doomed.” Freya informed Maverick. “That rhymed.” Bailee chimed in, swirling one of her pigtails around her finger. Freya ignored her. “They’re poisonous. And once they bloom, everything near will die from the poison gas they put off. How big is this field?”

“About 20 acres almost?” Maverick answered. “With about 20-30 cites getting power from these flowers.” Bailee basically answered Freya’s thoughts.

“Okay. We have work to do. We definitely ain’t getting everyone out in time.” Maverick looked confused. “What are we supposed to do? Pick all the flowers?” Freya smiled. “Precisely.”
