POEM STARTER
Submitted by Robin Marlowe
Write a poem about unseasonable weather. e.g. A warm day in the winter, or snow in the summer.
White July.
(Supposed to be a White Christmas parody(?) )
I’m dreaming of a hot season,
Filled with grains of sand, not this snow,
With such spirited, nice sights, and balmy, long nights,
To feel the summer sun glow.
I’m dreaming of a hot season,
With each tug of my winter coat,
July days are longer bright,
Early chill turns it constantly white.
I’m dreaming of a hot season,
Just like the summers not long ago,
Vanished for no reason, earth is stuck freezing,
Why must the fireflies go?
I’m dreaming of a hot season,
With every sip of hot cocoa,
July days are longer bright,
And its return is nowhere in sight.
