Craft a story where each sentence begins with the successive letter of the alphabet, starting with A.

The story can be about whatever you like, but try to make it coherent and logical as you carefully choose words to start each sentence.

Born a Ghost, Die a Ghost

**A**cid burning in our throats,

**B**ut the fire’s in our hearts.

**C**an’t run from tomorrow, so we

**D**ie in its arms.

**E**ven hell hears us scream.

**_F_**_reedom does not equal peace._

**G**ive a wolf a knife, it’ll still use its teeth.

**H**ad I known death was waiting for us,

**I**’d have done anything

**J**ust to keep it waiting.

**K**ill all things, and seek salvation.

**L**ong ago, I prayed for change—

**M**aybe that’s why the ground is shaking.

**N**o one has ever bled like you _(he says)_.

**O**nly my hands can heal _(he says)_.

**P**seudonyms and bitter, half-bitten fruit,

**Q**uestionable alliances and harsh truths.

**R**ight is right when wrong is wrong.

**S**ometimes escaping means dying—

**T**hat’s why the chains are so strong.

**U**nderneath the metal is flesh and bone,

**V**ictims of ourselves; do we truly belong?

**W**hen we found dirt and called it home,

**X**s over our eyes—we might’ve been alone.

**Y**ou saw me cry. I begged you to stay.

**Z**oning out won’t change fate.
