There is so much to live for!

Look at me, for instance.

How much easier it is to smile?

To grin, instead of giving in,

To fears and confrontations?

I used to show it all,

My nasty emotions, that honestly,

No one wants to see!

But this is so much easier!

Just…so much easier.

Really, it’s simply…spectacular.

I’m convenient now.

No one needs to worry themselves,

With how I’m doing.

I’m cheerful,

Everyone likes that, right?

I’m not annoying, right?

I’m prettier now,

With this plastic mask,

Molded into happiness.

It might not reflect me.

But it’s what you want to see,

So please, I need no pity from you.

What’s that?

You wouldn’t spare empathy anyway?

Well, I suppose that’s good for me.

Truth be told,

I don’t know what’s good for me…

But that doesn’t matter!

This ecstatic way of living,

Has truly changed my life,
