Time is running out

The clock is ticking

Running towards it,

I can’t let it go off

My friends will get hurt

As will I

But I have no self preserveration

So I’m the one for the job

I didn’t volunteer

But they sent me

I don’t complain

At least the words don’t leave my mouth

Why am I always the one that almost dies

Is it possible I’m the favorite character that just gets killed for plot?

No, I’m not that important

I reach for the wires

Red blue green yellow

Oh gosh, I forgot I’m color blind

Oh well, I already want to die anyways.

I cut a random wire

And the ticking stops

No big deal

My friends aren’t proud

They move along with the mission

(For context on the title, me and a friend were texting and I was baking muffins and they were sizzling and I thought they were going to explode from within my oven. But thankfully they didn’t, and when I told her, she said you disabled the grenades!!! lol)
