Potential is such a funny thing.

We all have it,

We all have the same amount,

But will we become a home run, or just another hit.

I have so much potential,

That, I know,

But will I use it?

Will I grow?

Writing is my passion,

I love it very dearly,

But will it go up from here?

Or will I miss it, just nearly?

I know I can make it,

I know I will thrive,

But is there a chance that I don’t,

And I just…survive?

But life has more to offer,

More than just you and me,

I want to experience that,

I want to be free.

Will I live up to it,

the potential inside?

Or will I crash and burn,

All of my dreams denied?
