POEM STARTER
Submitted by MBK
“Then suddenly… it’s over.”
Write a poem which ends with this line.
Waiting, Waiting.
Waiting, waiting,
My breath baiting
From promises,
So invisible.
Waiting, waiting,
My heart racing,
Excitement burns,
A flame on a wick.
Stupid, stupid,
Life's cruel truth is,
To never take
Sweet words for granted,
Too good to be
A golden piece;
You will choke
On your baited breaths,
Waiting and waiting,
_And then it’s over…_
