WRITING OBSTACLE

Write a fast-paced scene that takes place during a rush hour.

There doesn't need to be a dramatic plot, but think about how you can create and maintain a busy and rushed feeling in a short story.

Busy

ā€œBusyā€ isn’t the right way to describe it.

ā€œBusyā€ means you have little free time,

You move from one thing to the next without time to catch your breath.

ā€œBusyā€ is not what I am.

But ā€œoverwhelmedā€ isn’t right either.

ā€œOverwhelmedā€ means you can’t get it all done,

Can’t find the right rhythm.

And I’m making it work.

So I guess I’m just busy.

I guess the thirty minutes on the bus being my only free time is okay.

I guess I’ve learned how to not breathe,

Because it’s one thing to the next from 6:30am

To 8pm when I finally get home

To 10pm when I finally finish my homework

To 11pm when I’ve finally gotten ready for the next day

And finally showered and passed out before my head finally hits my pillow.

…How am I going to survive this…?

Guyssss help I started school again…

Anyway I wanted to say I’m SO sorry I haven’t been able to read/write at all, the bus is the only time I have to do what I want but I keep being half asleep and not being able to actually do anything other than stare out the window. But I’m going to try to catch up today and stay caught up during the week. Idk I have to figure out some kind of way to stay online. I’ll make it work though, there is no way I’m going to let school take away one of my favorite things ever!!

Anywayyyy I’m going to catch up from oldest to newest, but if there’s anything y’all want me to jump to I definitely will (Chapter Fourrrrr iykyk).

Idk I’m not used to writing notes like this. How have you beennnn?
