She didn’t listen to music like everyone else. Well, she couldn’t. Because she was deaf. She wasn’t deaf all her life but now she was. She used to listen to music like an everyday person. Now she couldn’t. Instead of hearing the words out loud singing to the tune or drumming, she listened to the vibrations of the music. This, in her opinion, was much better than listening to the actual song like others would. She believed it was easier than before. She could hear the tune better. And if she knew the song, she could sing the lyrics in her head. Her parents didn’t believe she could ever listen to music the same way again. She didn’t need to.
