I’m just a 14 year old girl

Who doesn’t really understand the world

Maybe I see through a different lense

Or a different looking glass all together

There are plenty of things in this world

That i do understand

How everyone seems to have their right hand man

Except for the lonely and broken

How people in power

Deatroy the people

Who hold the peices

Keeping their lives afloat

I understand

The discrimination

The abomanation

The indoctrination

I understand

The long for peace

How its just out of reach

Yet so far away

I understand that me

Writing poems about being woke

Just to cope

Doesn’t help anyone

But myself

But that matters too, right?

I understand the rights stripped away

Every single day

Making life harder to live

To be ok

I understand on a moral level

But what I don’t understand

Is time

How things

Change

Evolve

Adapt

yet everything seems to stay the same

The same groups are hated

But its hidden in plain sight

It just gives people a fright

Justice

Peace

Love

But its all just out of reach
