'When nightmares are all you’ve ever known, dreams can be a truly frightful thing.'

Write a story or poem inspired by this phrase.

The Hurting Girl

Crowded places.

Too many faces.

Always working.

Constantly hurting.

I just want this to be over…

Clock’s ticking.

Body’s kicking.

Blood is dripping.

His skin is ripping.

Choke, hands around your neck.

Evil in my bones.

Shadows like drones.

Fight to live another day.

Weaker, dead bodies lay.

I’m so sorry.

Relization sinks in.

I’m running from this sin.

Of me and you…

Tell me what to do.

If I were to have it my way…

Listen up!

Just shut up.

I’m trying to talk!

It’s not our fault…

…I would end you.

I’ve always been falling.

I’ll always be crawling.

I know you see it too.

I truely need you…

*When nightmares are all you’ve known… A real love with a happy ending could be as frightful as a dream. Sometimes I wish I could reach out and touch you. You know— make sure you’re real. But that’s not possible.

Trapped in a clock.

Tic, tic, ticking.

My heart, steady:

click, click, clicking.

It’s hurt, it’s in pain.

How I’ve waited for this rain.

Let only, it leave in vain.

Drink, thirsty thy tongue.

Dry be the tomb, dust return.

Sunlight seeps, dusk return.

Glory to high golden light.

Blind be the man who holds

the heart of a hurting girl…

Hear me, Sunlight.

I’ll forever be your night.
