As time goes on, as it changes

People will always evolve

They will always evolve

Always change

Having social bonds, making friends

Online ones

That we don’t talk to, get to be around with

Lacking true connections

Being more together when it comes to things

Finding more common ground

How people can’t find much of it nowadays

Always fighting over something

How we are using more of our brains

Thinking much more often

Making sure we use constant unreliable info

That always randomly show up

That looks totally reliable

Thanks to the perfect internet

Allowing us to use our brains and time

Distracting ourselves

Mindlessly and for who knows how long

Hours, months, even years

Our environments change

More pollution, more climate change

More bad fog, more destroyed habitats

Wasting resources all the time

How we feel also really changes

Feeling more pressured

To please, to impress, to compare very often

Feeling quite all over the place

More stressed, more angry, more depressed

more lazy, more whiny

Less emphatic, more insecure, more negative

More turbulent, more confused, and so on

And as we change as time continuously goes

As our technology gets better and better

We do things differently in life

With how much we do

For we do nothing, sometimes nothing at all

Just sitting idly by

Watching life, letting time go on by

Just stuck

Stuck in ignorance and laziness

Like me!

Because after I am done with this poem

I’ll simply

Simply just mindlessly consume stuff online

Wasting time, just like everyone else

Look at how far we have come as a species

Think about how it’ll be centuries later
