The Moon

I woke up abruptly by the sound of my balcony door opening. Quickly sitting up in bed, I looked around cautiously. I lived alone. Without moving my eyes from the door I quietly grabbed my phone, dialing 911.

Slowly, I stood up. Deciding I was going to investigate. I carefully walked to the door. Moonlight wrapped around my balcony. It was unlike anything I had seen.

The Promise

I’m about to jump off of the balcony when I hear his voice. "Now where do you think you’re going?"

I freeze and slowly turn around. Alric’s leaning against the French door frame, his arms crossed and still in the same green suit he was in at the ball.

"Back home."

"I don’t think that’s a very good idea."

"What you going to do? Kill me? Scary."

He throws a fireball right past me. If it wa...

Moonlight

The charcoal grass was bathed in a milky glow, allowing a welcoming silence to wrap me in its arms. They swayed gently, listening to my vents, despite being drenched in their own drops of doubt. Light fog smudged the acrylic backdrop, cloaking my shivers with its misty sheet. Fireflies drifted in and out of existence, blessing the atmosphere with minuscule bursts of light.

But the moon wa...

Moonlight Sonata

Sometimes it’s better to not say anything

And admire the view

Since it doesn’t last long

And fades away too soon

The darkness of the night

Carefully blends into the moon

With rays of white glistening light

Painting such an endless supply on the sky tonight

Combined with the sea

The flow of water sends a message to me

To freeze my world

And to look outside at the unknown scene

Nothing Was Behind Me. Still, I Bled. #2

The silent myths turned

To spoken stories

And I ran

Ran til’ moonlight turned to black

And black turned to ash....

Distrust Within The Darkness

“Is he a knight in shining armour or is he an executioner? Because I’ve met both, and I assure you, the executioner was more charming.” Arfir would have folded his arms at that moment in time, but the tug of chains reminded him he was a bit less free then he wanted to be.

The hooded figure stood in front of him laughed, although no mirth seemed to leave his lips, only bitterness and distrust.

“The...

Titanic

I stand on a gigantic boat, filled with people. Lights buzzed everywhere in the moonlight, pink, purple, blue, green, and yellow. My orange dress dragged across the wooden deck. “Hey, Emily! What time is it,” I yelled at my friend. Emily had a green dress, matching her headband clashing with her brown hair. She was at a bar laughing with some slim man. She Brought out her crimson phone, cracked fr...

Meet Me In The Moonlight

Meet me in the forest,

Where the trees politely make way for us,

And the moonlight shimmers down on our skin,

We’ll feel ethereal, magical.

We can talk, we can dance,

The sharp grass being gentle on our feet,

Our sweet giggles springing from the trees,

As the crickets chirp us a sweet tune.

If you meet me at the forest,

We can lie in the greenery side by side,

Marveling at the sparkles in the da...

Numb

I stand numbly in the freezing air. The cold wind taunts me, brushing my skin with the sting of winter. My cheeks must be red, irritated. The sky might be beautiful, moonlight cast through the bare branches above, if I was looking at anything. But I’m not, really. I’m not looking at anything. My body belongs to a faded statue, rooted to the ground in the middle of the night. I feel the snow throw ...

Light In The Darkness

Droplets of water cascaded down the window pane, each droplet seeming to have a race with another. Her eyes were fixed on the white cross in the window as she tried to push down her feelings. Nothing could have prepared her for the waves of emotions that attacked her heart repeatedly.

“It’s like I was nothing to him.” Violet choked out through the uneasy breaths.

Tyler sat silently next to Violet ...
