that there are plenty of fish in the water, but that the water was the dirtiest.

I didn't understand what she meant until now.

now that this world has made consume negativity.

I wanted to be a princess that got saved by a prince, but I don't give a damn anymore.

The world doesn't give a damn about us at all....

My grandmother always told me, when you go out, wear clean socks with no holes.

Make sure you’re wearing underwear.

You never know, you might get hit by a car

Your dress will rise and expose your private.

Your shoes usually fly off with impact. your toes will be exposed. Embarrassing.!...

My grandmother always told me that life was a messy bundle of joy,

That heartache brought unimaginable warmth,

That the universe would keep moving regardless.

My grandmother never failed to show me how misery was still a story,

How betrayal was just the twisted part of mystery,

And loneliness was evidence of bond long gone.

They were all my grandmother ever knew.

They were all what I would ever...

My grandmother always told me

She loved me

But I never listened.

And now that she’s dead,

I can never be forgiven.

I wonder how she thought of me,

I wonder how she felt,

I wonder was she lonely,

Or content in her hell.

For she treated my mother like

A child of another,

Had her beaten apart by her own older brother,

Made her quit her job for a stranger’s wedding,

Attacked her character in every ...

This take on the prompt is actually just an edited version of my previous attempt. “Makeup” is about being told you’re pretty, but only believing it’s because of the, well, _makeup_. The ending is altered, to share that you don’t need your makeup for others to find you pretty. Also, new title, maybe? Which is a better fit, “Makeup” , “Gorgeous” , or [other]?
