Moon

the sun

dipped

beneath my

feet

the moon

a light

to hang

above my head

to guide me

when true

light

refuses

my pleads

moonlight

is my gravity

keeping me sound

and stars are

my solutions

that

help my head

the sun

is bright

when the moon

is

perfect

the moon

stay with me

when the sun

leaves me stranded...

The Right Light

As the bright light of hope burns red

It sinks lower and lower taking away light

The shadows dance abandoning bed

I sit back and watch the darkness flight

The cold moon glow of a day gone

It’s judgementsal eyes looking down

A look of sincerity and regret like none

I look at it and feel its pound

I miss the warm glow of hopes face.

The fleeting sins of moonlight’s sake

Send a chill at a ghast...

Her Leave, His Leave

The Sun dipped down underneath my feet,

the Moon tipping over my head

Moonlight covered the snow and the sleet

Sun’s shadows now darkness instead

Dragging my purchase through the cold slush

Looking for sharp eyes in the trees

No sound in here, not even a hush

Still I dropped low and crawled on my knees

The Sun was gone now, her leave complete

And the Moon stood fast in her stead

illuminating passion in my heart

as i paint my first stroke

on the canvas before my eyes

a whisper approaches my ear

i am the mother of the night

i am the moon...

Blissful Moment

I stand upon this precipice

Looking out over the valley of shadows

The sun dipped down underneath my feet,

The moon tipping over my head

The sun beams radiating just below the trees

The moon white light shines upon me

Darkness will soon envelope the valley

But at this moment

At this very moment

The meeting of light and darkness

Creates a beauty like no other

as I walked on the precipice between shadow and light

stars dancing in the moonlit deep

nothing felt more real than the crunch of my boots and the chill of the night

sparks swirled like petals crowned in red

as the sky glimmered and glowed in a fitful sleep

the sun dipped down underneath my feet, the moon tipping over my head

As the Sun

Dipped down

Beneath my feet,

And the Moon

Tipped over my head,

The dimming mirror

Of this final Twilight

Beckoned me to

Gaze into the mirror within this

Glimmering spectrum.

This day in passing,

The 365th drop in the bucket,

Is a current along my face

As it ripples across

the glassy sky.

How have I grown

Through accomplishment

Or regret?

into the light, away from darkness

the sun dipped down underneath my feet,

the moon tipping over my head,

the world had lost its balance,

i was filled with an awful sense of dread,

because now the sun had gone into hiding,

there was nothing left to save me from my fears,

and the cold chill running down my spine,

would undoubtedly reduce me to tears,

every day i sit, bask in the glorious sunlight,

pick daisies, blow on dandelions...

Fin de siècle

I knew then it was the end

Not as the walls

Crumbled to dust

Regime capitulated

Overthrown

Not the fire nor the fear nor the lies

Silence grew deafening

In anticipation

Perilous impermanence

Recklessly, slash and burn

What preceded

In this new era

Glorified with senseless words

Tipped Upwards Down

If i were to stand upside down on the bottom of the earth and be able to see through it to the top of the earth to someone else standing there. From what angle do i see them.

Am i the one the wrong way around or are they upside down upon on the ground.

What way for me would the sun rise and set and for them would it be different yet.

This is the point i try to make as the sun dipped down under...
