Football Field

Yellow skies and bright pink lights

Gussied up girls, and boys with lies

Green thumbs, green grass, and sad green eyes

The laughter was real, but not the good times

Friends, enemies, and families who try

To smile when the scoreboard makes them cry

Good times, bad times, stolen nights

Good kids, bad kids, violent crimes

The boys throw fits, but the girls still cheer

How the hell did we en...

Unfinished )

I dreamt of the golden hour;

Of a coppice

of sequin, blossoming grass...

Dreams

The haunting images flood my brain

The truth of what happened laid out plain

The world moves on without a care

While all my being is locked down there

In that pit, that bottomless pool

Where hopes and dreams lay and drool

Where bright futures I once held

Deep inside where I could weld

Would create a reality that I could bare

But now all I can do is sit and stare

Hoping the illusions keep fill...

forever alone

i layed in your arms

your warm breath stroke my cheek

i felt safe

your hug made my heart rest

my breathing got slower

but when i looked at your face

the was no face i remember

in this glimpse of time

i thought you were back

now now

caught up in reality

there was just me laying on grass

alone

forever alone...

To Dust

To dream is to escape;

Freedom is a experience only felt while asleep.

When I shut my eyes, and shut my ears.

I can ignore the optimism of my peers.

I’m tired of their lies,

Constant reminders of my past.

When they open their mouths,

I pray these words may be their last.

The beautiful place I go when asleep,

Clenches me and binds my hands and feet.

I embrace its soft words with my des...

Romantic Contact Lenses

Listening to Bob Dylan,

In a nice Camaro,

I’m sipping Coca Cola and chillin’

And I’m feeling like a Pharaoh!

No, the old cassette is playing this song I hate,

Sitting in a junkyard Toyota I keyed,

I’m downing vodka and I don’t feel so great-

Maybe I need some weed.

Suntanning on the beach,

Surrounded by manly masculine lifeguards,

We’re all looking like BayWatch models, salads for each,

Yeah, in...

Dream vs Reality

Sitting by the pool

I can’t swim, the pool needs cleaning

Reading a book

Studying a boring textbook

Sipping a drink

On my third drink before noon...

Dreams v Reality

I love nature, it’s so peaceful and feels like home.

I dance in the woods behind my house, playing music and singing along.

The animals surround me and I enjoy watching them do their own thing.

Climbing the trees and reaching the top, I feel on top of the world.

Unfortunately, this is a world where humans roam.

They pollute the air, knowing it’s wrong.

They take their machinery to the forests, an...

Fix me please

It was getting better

But it was just a game

To see how long that lasted

I started loving myself

And accepting the silence

But now I hate the quiet

And clothes don’t sit quite right

I thought it was getting better

I was singing and dancing

enjoying myself

But i somehow knew

It wouldn’t stay that way

I know it will be better someday

Maybe soon

But it hurts more or less

Because it resumed

Misery?

Her life is completely miserable,

And you will fail to convince her that,

There’s more awaiting her;

You are dishonest,

She will never get what she dreams of-

Saying that,

Her hopes for the future still burns bright,

Is over exaggerating things,

ā€˜Everything is falling apart’,

Because,

She likes to think she is able to fix her errors,

But that is a terrible lie,

Her dreams are too far fetched,

She’...
