R ollling in like ship to port

A n army of clouds the mists escort,

I n cooling sheets, riding the winds,

N ourishment from the haze descends....

The heat, beating on my fettered mind,

demanding nights spent on my knees

crying from my cage of perfection blind,

yet afraid to cry.

then…

The cold, a sudden blast of icy doom

and chilly dread, knowing I was lost

knocked on my soul through the iron room.

Heart cracking,an egg about to deliver new life

then…

The rain. washing all the evil stains away,

like the remnants of a tainted meal slippi...

Mighty ocean ever rolling heaves her salty breast,

perpetual rolling ocean tides that swell from creat to crest.

She breaks upon her sandy shores

ferrying the breeze,

refreshing draughts of cooling wind that rustles in the leaves.

Mounting, breaking, crashing o’er,

her power she displays,

while I upon her bank reside,

am awed beneath her misty spays.

A shift in the wind,

and rolling of tide,

securing the sails

our paths to divide.

For comfort is fleeting.

The pleasure is vain,

as spring brings the flowers

but also the rain.

Forever recalling the memories of yore,

I’ll hope to rejoin you

on a future dimmed shore....

I am but a puzzle

on the table of today,

with every moment adding

to the colorful array,

of the sundry shapes of peices

that make me who I am,

and every fragment closer

to this masterpiece’s end....
