WRITING OBSTACLE
Submitted by Frankie Famighetti
Create an origin story for a common saying, such as 'break the ice' or 'once in a blue moon'.
Your story should explain how this expression came to be, and why it means what it does.
Curiosity killed the cat
I don’t understand
How curiosity came to be
Though that may just be me
Other have an overwhelming yearning
To be free
Why do people explore?
Haven’t they learned its unsafe?
Have people not learned to stay inside,
Not to waste away,
But to live to see another day!
Curiosity leads to nothing but devestation
Routine and structure
Science and perfection
Give us performance and outcomes
That we can tune to our very desire
I am not saying
To not have adventures
To not enjoy the world
I am saying to be cautious
I am saying to be careful
To learn to see the faults
The cat seeks out the mouse
The mouse has deadly fangs
Curiosity killed the cat
People search for love
In those unobtainable
Leading to mental curroption
Curiosity kills romance
Curiosity kills the uncausious
Curiosity spares the prepared
For why would you die
When you know all that is there
