My Hidden Diamonds

I’d like to introduce you to this girl I know.

I can give you some details.

She’s blonde haired, blue eyed,

And is a cheerleader and a dancer.

I can already guess the assumptions you have made.

Dumb blonde.

She’s just a dumb blonde.

I’m just a dumb blonde.

Well honey, buckle in,

Because I’ll show you the truth.

You see, during the afternoons, I study.

During the nights, I write.

But you don’t see.

You don’t see the work,

Because I don’t raise my hand in class.

You’re in for quite the realization.

And when the test results are posted,

And I’m up at the top,

You all assume I cheated,

Because I’m

Just

A dumb

Blonde.

What you don’t know,

Is that I am the gifted child,

Pushed to do my best,

Until my best is my normal and I am pushing for a new best.

You don’t know that.

Diamonds are beautiful, but they are also strong, quite like me.

I’m not weak,

I’m not nice.

I’m not dumb.

I’m chaos,

I’m your worst nightmare,

I’m a demon.

I’ll be crazy,

I’ll act possessed,

I’ll destroy.

And I’ll savor all of it.

You just thought I was a dumb blonde.

And you don’t know what’s comming,

But I do.
