WRITING OBSTACLE
Possession.
Crimson.
Expose.

Mask
There was a mirror on the wall
Who I took down to play my face
Listen to each and every call
And into my face it learned to stay
If only had this been a one time thing
But instead it became twisted possession
A contest on who could last longer
Ended up becoming crippling obsession
Instead of making each other stronger
We learned to live with the crimson
Each crack became my own pain
But this time I watched as nothing filled the chasm
Each drop became a rainstorm
Quietly, silently turning under the lenses
I keep asking more and more
As the mirror breaks with much more ridges
I walk on with blistered feet
Not noticing the glass fall away as I make my way toward “home”
And when I turn to the hall with the mirror
I find an empty space left
As I had forgotten it lived on my lips
And in front of my eyes, through this I watched alone
As I searched for the mirror
That fell away, so it only could expose
What I was hiding all along
