**I wrote a poem based off lyrics from the song “Rainbow Connection” as sung Kermit the Frog (per request of my mom **❤️❤️**).**

_So many questions…_

_So few answers…_

_Where are they hiding?_

Why

Are there so many

Songs

About rainbows

And what’s on

The other side?

It’s like rainbows are

Dreams,

Nothing and nowhere

To hide.

Rainbows

Are visions,

But only illusions,

So we keep on

Searching

For what’s on

The other side.

And rainbows

Have nothing

To hide,

No secrets

Hidden inside.

So we’ve been told

There’s nothing more to it,

And some choose

To believe it,

But…

I know they’re

Wrong,

Wait and see…

_Someday_

_We’ll find it…_

_The rainbow connection…_

_The lovers,_

_The dreams,_

_And me…_

Who said

That every wish

Would be heard

And answered

When wished

On the morning star?

That’s just not true,

But…

Somebody

Thought of that,

And somebody

Believed it…

Look

What it’s done

So far,

Not much for the better,
