Write a gossip session between two friends which suddenly turns very serious.
How can you use dialogue and speech tags to convey the change of tone?
“Did you hear about becky?”
“I did”
“It’s disgusting isn’t it?”
“What’s disgusting?”
“That she was kissing a girl”
“Why is that disgusting?”
“What would you kiss a girl?”
“Yeah maybe I would”
“Am I disgusting”
When people strongly believe in something especially when those beliefs are shaped by what the majority accepts it can be really hard for them to see the opposite as valid. It just doesn’t sink in right away. Honestly, I had never met anyone who was bisexual, gay, or lesbian before, so when I first heard about it, I was genuinely confused. It completely went against what I’d grown up understanding, and I’ll admit, I was even a bit disgusted similar to how I felt when I first learned about sex. But over time, you learn, your mindset changes, and you begin to accept things for what they are. Now, I don’t feel that way anymore. I believe people should love whoever they want. And with time, I think more and more people will come to accept it too.
Every time I put perspective into this stuff it blows my mind how insane it is

It isn’t disgusting though! I mean, I’m straight, I don’t even know a lot of gay people, but like… it’s not that deep? It’s just two people kissing, literally who cares that they both have vaginas? It doesn’t matter, or at least it shouldn’t! What is disgusting is that people think people are disgusting for literally being human….
