It was raining again.

But then again, it never really stopped raining these days.

Síofra stared out of her window, wiping off a layer of precipitation, and patted her cat on the head, hearing her purr softly. The clouds were endless— a continuing grey blanket that covered the sky. Síofra liked to think of it as the heavens freeing themself from all the bad things it had collected; dumping out buckets of water to feel whole again.

She wished she could do the same thing.

She absentmindedly rolled the fabric of her dress in her fingers, humming softly.

“Meow?” Her cat said softly, shoving her black and orange spotted head into Síofra’s hand, and looking expectantly at her with bright green eyes.

“I know,” Síofra laughed, “I’m sorry I stopped petting you.” Róisín laid her head down again as Síofra stroked her spine gently, sighing contentedly with a small satisfied purr.

Síofra went back to staring out the window again, rubbing a layer of the cloudy condensation she hated with her sleeve, sighing as the fabric became wet. Her parents _hated _it when she got her dress dirty (“You must not ruin your attire that was so kindly gifted to you,” they would always say), but Síofra didn’t really care that much.

After all, she hardly considered herself a princess. She had always felt a little… different from her family. Whether it was because of her unusual bright green eyes, her unusually slender shape compared to the rest of her family, or the way she just never seemed to… well, fit in, she didn’t know, but she was definitely _different_, that was for sure.

She often wondered _why_ exactly her parents had taken her in as a child, that was what they had told her at least.

But why had they taken her in? Was she special?

And who were her real parents?

_Apologies for this being very badly written, it’s like 4 in the morning and I can’t sleep so I decided to finally post part two but my brain died halfway through lol. _

_Also, quick question for you all. Any fans here of She-Ra (2018)? I just barely started a fanfic for it but I’m not sure if anyone would actually want to read it. I’ve never actually posted a real fanfic before so I don’t really know how a lot of stuff works, but if I were to post it, I would probably do it on Wattpad, Fanfiction.net, and AO3, under my username My_Randomness. I actually already have profiles on all three, but I haven’t posted anything yet. I’m just curious to see if anyone would actually be interested in it. Also, anyone who could help edit would be AMAZING! I’m not even sure if I’m allowed to ask something like that on here, but if anyone would be interested in reading or editing let me know in the comments!_
