I don’t like **change**

I never have.

And I don’t think I ever will.

Though people find it hard to understand

What is hard to understand

About the fact it has to be the same

Food the same way

Clothes the same way

Routine the same way

I don’t like change

Is that such a pain?

Yet you light the **fire**

You pour different fuel around me

You change the recipe

Or the detergent

Or light a different candle

Or take a different route

But yoh just didn’t tell me.

You don’t even apologize

Just roll your eyes

And assume i am fine.

But I am far from fine

I am breaking inside

Trying to decide

What I did wrong

For you to change something

To make it different

I know its irrational

But then I miss the old

I **grieve** the old food

The old packaging

The old car

The old everything

I greive the things that change

Not because i miss them

But because i wasn’t prepared

I don’t like change

I never have

And I don’t think I ever will
