Words Turned Lies
Clouds cover the skies,
Rain pulls at your eyes,
But nothing hurts as much
As the little words turned lies.
Your head is a storm,
Where the water’s not warm,
And the only thing you want
To do is conform.
I don’t understand
Your problems at hand,
Or why you refuse
To even take a stand.
I’m sorry to say
I got in the way,
I forgot not to care
When you led me to disarray.
Shedding crocodile tears,
You relish in my fears,
But of course you don’t know
The ending for us nears.
Rain pours from your eye,
As you continue to cry,
You say you care about me
I thought you said you wouldn’t lie.
