In The Dark Of The Night:A Rescue Mission
(Part 2 of “In The Dark Of The Night”!!! Yippee! Hope you have a great day!)
Okay, okay, it seems that they are near Apple Road. I should probably start heading there.
As I ran I tried to stay in the shadows and alleyways. Eventually, when I got to the facility the tracker said they took the boy to.
This warehouse is rather run down looking, I wonder how long it has been abandoned? Probably a few years at least. Anyway, I should probably focus on getting that kid out safely.
I crept through the warehouse careful not to make any noise.
“You little brat!” I heard from a room on the right of me. “You almost got us caught! Who would take care of you if we got caught?”
I peaked into a little window on that door and saw the boy getting hit by that fucker who took the plushie.
Fuck this!
I busted down the door and pulled the fucker away from the boy.
“Please cover your ears,” I said to the boy.“Listen here you little shit! You are going to tell me where your little ‘partner in crime’ is and then you are going to untie this boy. You got it?”
“And why should I listen to you?” he questioned.
“Because, if not, you’ll end up in the police’s cuffs and most likely get a life sentence. I know all of your crimes and criminal charges, do not test me bitch,” I said as I kicked him where it hurts.
“Jesus Christ kid! Fine!” he reluctantly agreed.
He then lead me to his friend-or whatever the hell she was to him.
I lead them both back to the room where the boy was. The man began untying the boy.
“Here! I’m doing!” The man said exasperated.
“Thanks!” I said trying not to laugh. I pulled out a metal container and opened it.
Thank God for my mask.
“Oh, don’t worry. This will make it hurt less!” I said as the nitrous oxide started to kick in. Then, I swung. The woman hit the ground and I punched the man down with her. I grabbed the kid and ran.
“I’d like to report two kidnappers,” I said running into the police station. “They took my little brother and I had to run after him!”
“Is this your brother with you?” The officer asked.
“Yes, I managed to grab him when the two were arguing about something. They seem to be very violent towards each other,” I said acting panicked. This would cover me from being suspected for their nasty bruises.
“And where did you last see them?” The officer inquired.
“They brought my brother to the abandoned warehouse on Apple Road!” I was playing the part of worried older brother perfectly.
“Okay, thank you. Would you like us to call your parents to pick you up?” The officer spoke.
Shit! Ummm, what should I say?
“No thank you. They live right around the corner,” the boy spoke.
Smart kid, smart kid.
“Okay then, you are free to go,” the officer shooed us off.
“Thank you! Have a great day,” I said as I left the police station.
That was chaos. But then again, in all chaos there is calculation. *imagine this is italicized*
“Thanks for your help kid,” I said.
“Why did you help me? Are you a hero?” He asked.
“I’m like a hero, but, no I’m not a hero. And I saved you because you needed saving.” I smiled at the boy.
Yeah, no, I’m not a hero. I have broken wayyy too many laws to even be considered one.
“Thank you,” he spoke quietly.
“You’re welcome! What’s your name by the way? Mine’s Asher!” I questioned the kid.
“I’m… My name is Milo,” the boy, Milo, replied.
“Nice to meet you Milo! Do you know where your parents might be? Are they actually around the corner like you said?” I asked the Milo.
“My dad dead and my mom doesn’t care about me. She left me,” Milo said like it was AN EVERYDAY CONVERSATION?!?!
“Oh, I’m so, so sorry! I can take you to an orphanage or a hero if you’d like,” I said.
“NO, PLEASE! I was at an orphanage before, it was horrible!” Milo frowned.
“Okay, how about a hero?” I repeated.
“No, I’d only put us both in more danger than we already are in. Villains would target me because they’d want to hurt the hero’s mentally,” he spoke as if he had analyzed this many times before.
“Okay… I think I may have a solution…” I smiled mischievously.
To be continued… (Sry I’m being begged to post rn *by, you guessed it, Tominos* and I’m too lazy to continue writing rn, but I wanted y’all to be able to read this part! I promise it’s getting good!!! Hope you have a great day *again*.)
