It’s the darkest time of day
The sky is pitch black
Covered in tiny dimonds
I sit alone
Like always
Wondering, hoping
Does he feel the same?
It’s killing me
The thoughts
The worries
Why can’t I just know?
Why can’t the universe open itself and show me
I want you. I really really want you
I want to see your eyes
Your smile
Your face
I want to hold you in your hardest times
I want to celebrate in your best
I just want to be there
A piece of your life
I don’t care how big a part I am
I just want to be in it
I’d give anything
I’d do anything
God, I’d make a rainbow shine in the middle of blackness
I’d make impossible, possible
Because of you
I’d do it all
Whatever you want
Anything
I swear if it would make you happy
If it would do anything for you
I’d make colors shine in the midst of the darkness

Okay 1. Yayyy it always makes me so happy to read your posts. You’re an amazing writer, for both stories and poems. Don’t ever forget, and don’t ever stop writing (I mean, life your life how you want but you know what I mean). I really enjoyed reading this, I loved the metaphors you used about colors and turning something impossible into something possible.
2. I relate to this, there’s this guy I like but we’ve literally never had an interaction before, we had an assembly the other day and he was sitting in front of me and I wasn’t paying attention at all, just staring at the back of his head wondering “Do you know I exist? If someone showed you a picture of me, would you recognize that you’ve seen my face before?” Lol it’s a sad life😭
And 3. Have you tried saying this stuff to him? It might be that you’re confusing him as much as he’s confusing you. Because if he knows how you feel and is intentionally doing this, he needs some sense knocked into him (I did karate for a year when I was little…. no threats, I’m just saying🤷♀️). Because you are so sweet and kind, and you can light up someone’s entire day with a single sentence. I have no doubt that you really can make colors shine in the dark🫶🫶🫶❤️❤️❤️

(And the assembly thing….i do that too….except at football games. He invited me to his games and I never really paid attention to the game….just him. I even figured out his number when he was on the field and I was on the bleachers. Like I don’t know how but I did.)
But yeah you should totally give it a go! You got this 100%!!! (And I don’t know karate but if he didn’t know what he was missing. I could find some way to show him…)
